Plant communities: area of grasses & herbacious perennials surrounded by montane coniferous forest
Note: The entire area was burned in the summer of 1998, the fire began on Aug. 14.

Note:
Pinus jeffreyi ? seedlings planted in Dry Lake (year unknown), 12 seedlings observed dead, the recorded number of live plants from 1998, was misplaced. 395 trees were counted on Nov.17, 2008. The tallest tree was six ft. 4 in. tall while the average was approximately 3 ft. tall. The majority were in the n. area of the dry lake.
