Dear Mr. Swinney and Trails Committee Members:

Congratulations to each of you and the Glendora community upon the official opening and dedication of the Wren Meacham Trail Bridges: Such tremendous undertaking and vision ought to be heralded with the well-deserved fanfare and satisfaction this ceremony will bring.

It is so impressive a nine-year endeavor has resulted in the completion of four (4) separate trails and these two (2) bridges which will now offer greater access and enjoyment of the Dalton Canyon area. Generations of Glendora families and friends will delight in the experiences this trail legacy launches this day.

Grateful acknowledgements are also expressed to Eagle Scout candidate Jeremy Wallingford (Boy Scout Troop No. 483), Bellfry Contractors and our Community Services Department for their key work in making dreams come true.

Please accept my regrets in being unable to personally thank each of you on Saturday for your parts in this project. Previous commitments required by attendance at another function in Ceres. However, my four children and I eagerly look forward to the day we may join others in hiking these trails together. Enjoy “your day”.
