in anticipation of installation of a Solar Internet System.


Observations were confined to a seven-day period. This list serves only as an initial list of birds found on the AIM & AIC Compound during January and represents only a partial number of birds which would normally be present there during this time of year. It is hoped that bird identification will continue here by others and will be added to the list as time goes by.

This location is reachable by a poor and often flooded road after reaching Kamanga by Ferry from Mwanza. Ferries currently service Kahunda from Mwansa on Wednesdays and Sundays. The AIM airstrip, adjacent to the shoreline is accesible by small planes.
